Writing Tools and Resources
- Scrivener (available for Mac and PC) for everything you write. Can also be used to compile simple ebooks. You can download a trial version of Scrivener to test it out before you purchase.
- Learn Scrivener Fast – great training from Joe who has spent years perfecting his training videos and content
- Evernote (Premium so that you can search PDFs). Make all of your notes and web grabs available across all your devices. Find everything you’ve saved. Search PDF content.
- Google Drive for sharing documents.
Publishing Tools and Resources
- iStudio Publisher (for print on demand – Mac Only). If you’re familiar with the functionality of InDesign, then this program will be familiar with you.
- Vellum (for simple ebooks if you don’t want to use Scrivener, and now also for paperback and large print book formatting). You can download a trial version of Vellum to test it out, but you will need to purchase a license in order to generate your book files.
