We’re living in Nomadic Times
The internet has made it possible to work from anywhere within easy access to an internet connection. I wrote an article on my Roving Jay blog a couple of years ago about “The Wireless Generation” documentary”. We were lucky enough to attend the LA screening hosted by the film maker, travel blogger, and fellow-nomad, Drew Gilbert. At that point I’d already made a decision to cut ties with corporate life and begin my nomadic adventures, but there were plenty of other people at the screening who had nomadic dreams in their hearts, and their eye on a lifestyle built on digital freedom.
Get Inspired
One of the best ways to forge your own nomadic path is to get inspired by others who have the same aspirations as you. It is difficult to shed the shackles of a “conventional life”, and a struggle to ignore the expectations of family and friends who have their own strong opinions about what their own (and your life) should look like.
Let the Nomadic Times begin
So to help you achieve or live the Nomadic life, I’m launching a weekly Nomadic Times column here on Birds of a Feather Press. We will have regular contributions from travel bloggers and nomadic writers, sharing inspiration, ideas and helpful tips to help you start working towards your new nomadic existence, or provide the moral support and expertise to keep you on the road.
Just click on The Nomadic Times Category tag and it will display all of the weekly columns from our travel bloggers and writers.
If you’d like to contribute to The Nomadic Times, please contact me via my Write for Us page for guidelines and the submission email.
