It’s been a whirlwind of a year for all of us.
Life as we knew it ceased to exist, and words like social-distancing, quarantine, and face-mask are part of our every-day lives.
I was doing reasonably well for most of 2020 and although the restrictions brought an abrupt halt to our Workaway trip in France I continued to plough on with content creation, book writing, and blog activities.
That flurry of blogging activity ground to a halt at the beginning of this year when I had to endure a 10-day quarantine period in a facility in Istanbul, in order to return to Turkey to pack up our house and put our belongings in storage. We got an offer we couldn’t refuse, and decided to sell our house.
Now I’ve relocated back to Los Angeles for a while, and have the luxury of time and space to power up my laptop and begin creating content again. I have some half-finished book projects I need to nudge in the right direction, before I get distracted with a couple of new book projects that are vying for my attention.
My How Travel Writers Self-Publish podcast also got neglected, but if the car alarms, leaf blowers, and police helicopters remain silent for long enough I will be able to record some new episodes. I packed my microphone and podcasting equipment and am looking forward to creating a flurry of podcasts to help you become travel writing authors.
Here’s to a more productive 2022.
